Selling My Own Information

Time is something everyone likes to have more of. No one wants to spend time out of their lives reading the “Terms of Service” or “Privacy Policy” that every website has. It takes too long and I get impatient. sometimes the language is such that I think I might need my lawyer to interpret it. I am under the impression that they make them long and wordy on purpose. I am apparently very trusting, because all I do is scroll down trying to find the “I agree” button.

You would like to think that these websites and services aren’t going to screw you over, but I guess you can never be too sure. Privacy is important to everyone, but sometimes people have different priorities. The pages and pages of reading that would have to be done is simply just not worth it. All this for Information that they likely have already or could find it if they wanted to. There are plenty of hackers out there that could get your personal information with very little effort. Good thing I don’t have anything that people would want. I am not a worthy target.

When I watched the “Social Experiment Proves That No One Really Reads Terms and Conditions” it came to no surprise that these people would just hit the “I agree”. I am waiting for the day when a company comes to collect my first born. Until then, I will keep clicking “I agree” because the alternative sounds really boring.
